emergency dental care

we are here for you

We are pleased to offer our services as your go-to Reading emergency dentist. Whether you are an existing or new patient, if you need us, we are here to help you - from dealing with abscesses, trauma and a swollen face to lost or broken crowns, chipped or avulsed teeth.

If you need emergency dental treatment, you should ask to see a dentist as soon as possible. We can take care of your injuries to ensure that you heal more quickly and effectively, as well as help you to avoid additional dental problems in the future.

Consideration for emergency dental treatment requires one of the three following key criteria:

uncontrolled bleeding

a swollen face

a tooth knocked out

If a tooth has come out:

It’s very important that you keep the knocked out tooth clean and avoid handling the root. In some cases you may be able to put the tooth back into the socket by biting down on a clean paper towel for around 15-20 minutes.

If you have a chipped tooth then your dentist may be able to smooth down the uneven edge and replace the missing part with a tooth-coloured filling. If you break a back molar then this may have to be replaced with a crown.

Registered patients requiring urgent attention are offered an appointment to attend as soon as an appointment space is available. Please telephone as early as possible in the morning to enable us to see you on the same day.

If you are not a patient of the practice and require emergency treatment we will do our best to help you. Please contact us as early in the day as possible and we will try to accommodate you.

Please contact us on: 0118 966 9991 if we usually see you at Earley (The Evergreen Dental Centre) or 0118 958 6766 if we usually see you at Reading (Castle Hill Dental Clinic)
